Field Study at Atatürk Middle School by Gölhisar Vocational School Students

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU) Gölhisar Vocational School Department of Architecture and City Planning, Surveying and Cadastre and Land Registry and Cadastre Program 2nd year students, under the guidance of Lecturer Dr. Hasan Çevik, organized a school fieldwork activity with Atatürk Middle School students. This activity aimed to help young students gain practical knowledge in field measurement and mapping.
Field Measurement Tools Introduced
During the event, various tools used in field measurement operations were introduced to middle school students. These tools included level, staff, total station, range pole, prism, steel tape measure, and cors. Detailed information was given about what each tool is used for, their functions, and how to use them. Students had the opportunity to see how these tools work and how field measurements are made in practice.
Practical Studies Were Conducted
Surveying and Cadastre and Land Registry and Cadastre Program 2nd year students conducted acquisition and application studies within Atatürk Middle School. Thanks to these studies, middle school students had the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. In addition, as a result of these studies, a 1/1000 scale detailed map of Atatürk Middle School was created. This map shows the physical structure of the school and its surroundings in detail.
Great Interest and Satisfaction
The event was greatly appreciated by the students of Atatürk Middle School. In addition to gaining knowledge about field measurement and mapping, the students reinforced this knowledge by participating in practical studies. Atatürk Middle School Principal Ahmet Dilman expressed his satisfaction with this event carried out by the students of Gölhisar Vocational School Surveying and Cadastre and Land Registry and Cadastre Program. Dilman stated that such activities increase students' interest in science and technology and motivate them.
It was emphasized that such activities enrich the education of students by providing both theoretical and practical knowledge and better prepare them for their future professions. It was stated that Gölhisar Vocational School will continue such educational activities and will continue to work to improve students' knowledge and skills.
