A psychomotor development workshop for the elderly from MAKÜ YAŞAM

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Aging Studies Application and Research Center (MAKÜ YAŞAM) has launched Psychomotor Development Workshops that will last for four weeks to support the physical and mental health of elderly individuals.
With the support of the Happiness Research Coordination (MAKÜ MAK), this special program, implemented in collaboration with the Aging Studies Community and the Hilmi-Hafize Evin Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, includes exercises aimed at improving the balance, coordination, reflex, and attention skills of elderly individuals.
In the workshops conducted under the guidance of expert trainers, participants engage in activities that contribute to both their physical and cognitive development through fun game activities. The main goal of the program is to support and enhance the motor and cognitive skills of elderly individuals. At the same time, it provides an opportunity for them to have a pleasant time by increasing social interaction.
These workshops, which will last for four weeks, aim to increase the mobility of elderly individuals and encourage them to lead an active life.
