Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) continues to make a name for itself with its scientific projects. Among the projects eligible for support within the framework of the 10th 4007 Science Festivals Support Program organized by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) this year, there is also a project from MAKÜ.
The ‘Science and Innovation Festival in Gölhisar’ project, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özdemir Şentürk, a faculty member of Gölhisar Vocational School, and prepared under the coordination of the same school's Project Office, was deemed worthy of support by TÜBİTAK. This project, which is among the 89 projects selected nationwide, aims to increase the interest of the local community in science and to create scientific awareness.
While the festival aims to bring individuals from different age groups together with science, it will offer activities that ensure participants both have fun and interact with scientific knowledge. The festival, where the connection between science and innovation and daily life will be revealed, will be held in Gölhisar.
MAKÜ continues to facilitate access to science for individuals of all ages and to spread the culture of science with such projects that strengthen the bond between society and science.
