YAŞAM volunteers and MAKÜ Center for Aging Studies Application and Research Center, during their home visit organized to conduct regular observations, create social awareness, and touch the lives of the elderly, received both blessings and made important evaluations for the future. The teams listened to the problems of the elderly on-site and shared solution proposals aimed at their needs.
YAŞAM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Say Şahin, said in a statement:
Our elderly are our most valuable treasure, bridging the past and our future. We must not forget that they guide us with their experiences, wisdom, and prayers. As MAKÜ YAŞAM, we will continue to be by the side of our elderly individuals to enhance their quality of life and make them feel they are not alone. As MAKÜ YAŞAM, we conduct regular observations and research studies to contribute to Turkey's policies on aging and turn our results into publications. Our greatest aim is to make our elderly more visible and contribute to the construction of sustainable aging societies by creating awareness on the subject,” he said.
As every year, this special meeting, which made the elderly feel they are not forgotten, left a deep impression on the hearts of the participants.
