Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Aging Studies Application and Research Center (YASAM) and Happiness Research Coordination, in collaboration with Burdur Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, are organizing the Sensory-Social Interaction Workshops starting on November 28, 2024.
These workshops, which will last for five weeks at Hilmi Hafize Evin Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center, aim to enhance the social and sensory interactions of the nursing home residents. Every week, group discussions themed “Feeling Good” will be held under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen Arslan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Say Şahin.
With the support of YASAM volunteer students who have successfully completed the orientation and training processes under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen Arslan and Lecturer Gülnihal Altun, various applications such as memory, communication, skill, and coordination games will be conducted interactively.
This meaningful work, carried out with the mission of social contribution, will be completed with the support of MAKÜ on December 26, 2024.
