Meaningful Visit from MAKÜ Students to Nursing Home Residents

Students of the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Social Sciences Vocational School Civil Aviation Management Program visited the Burdur Nursing Home within the framework of social awareness and social responsibility. During the visit, the students had warm and sincere moments with the residents of the nursing home, spending an unforgettable day.

At the beginning of the visit, Dr. Lecturer Raşit Acar, who is the advisor of the students, emphasized the importance of such activities, highlighting their significant role in increasing students' social awareness. The students had the opportunity to chat with the elderly and listen to their life experiences. Through various activities carried out together, the young people boosted the morale of the nursing home residents and also demonstrated a beautiful example of social solidarity.

Dr. Lecturer Raşit Acar stated, "Such visits reinforce our students' sense of social responsibility while increasing their respect and love for our elderly. Coming together with them was a very valuable experience for both our students and the residents of the nursing home."
