A meaningful project from Çavdır MYO students: 'My book friend in Çavdır'

The project titled ‘My Book Friend in Çavdır’ aims to build bridges of the heart among students through books.

Within the scope of the project, students decorated the books they had previously read with heartfelt notes and gifted them to students they did not know, studying at other schools. These special notes included thoughts about the book, good wishes, and motivational messages. Thus, not only a book but also a spirit of friendship and solidarity was shared.

With this meaningful activity, students both encouraged the habit of reading books and demonstrated an environmentally conscious approach with a sense of recycling. The project created both environmental and social awareness with the recirculation of books.

‘My Book Friend in Çavdır’ reinforced book friendship among students and once again highlighted how valuable sharing and volunteering are. Thanks were extended to Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Feriha Duygu Samav Gürcü for her contributions and support in coordinating the event.

This meaningful project, extending from heart to heart, increased students' social awareness and remained in memories as an unforgettable volunteering experience.
