Training and Certificate Ceremony for Women Entrepreneurs Held in Ağlasun

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), Ağlasun Municipality and Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA) collaborated to organize a training program to support women entrepreneurs within the scope of the project 'Increasing Employment Through the Development of the Tourism Potential of Sagalassos Ancient City'. A certificate ceremony was held for women entrepreneurs who successfully completed the training held between December 3-6, 2024.
Within the scope of the program, important trainings were offered to women entrepreneurs for four days. Research Assistant M. Murat Nalcı provided training on 'Sales and Marketing Strategies for Women's Cooperatives and Women Entrepreneurs'. Dr. Lecturer Ömer Çatal addressed the topic 'Change with Women's Power: Sustainable Development Through Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship'. Lecturer Dr. Nuriye Esenceli provided information about 'Support and Grant Opportunities for Women's Cooperatives'. Associate Professor Seher Yastıoğlu discussed the role of women in local development with the training titled 'Local Women's Power and Women's Cooperatives'.
These trainings were conducted to enable women entrepreneurs to take a more active role in the business world and to increase employment by evaluating the tourism potential of Sagalassos Ancient City. Women entrepreneurs who received their certificates stated that the knowledge and skills they acquired greatly contributed to creating new business opportunities.
The ceremony, hosted by Ağlasun Municipality, was attended by Ağlasun Mayor Ali Ulusoy, BAKA Burdur Coordinator Mustafa Yüce, AK Party Ağlasun District President Mustafa Alver, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Ömer Çatal and TTO Education Coordinator Associate Professor Seher Yastıoğlu.
This program, focused on social development, ended with a group photo shoot and certificate presentation.
